Showtime will feature Bon Jovi's documentary the end of October and coincidentally a book is to be released shortly after.  (Click here to read the article)  The documentary, When We Were Beautiful is a sure sign that a band has reached another milestone in their career.  The footage will be from the 2008 Lost Highway World Tour which closed with a show at Central Park in New York. 

David Bryan of Bon Jovi created the music for the recently previewed Broadway musical Memphis.  Read about it at rockstarweekly.com.  This is a proper fit for a musician who has rocked soulfully for over 25 years.  

Remember all of the Guitar Hero hype recently?  A new band game will be released in early November with LEGO Rock Band.  You can bet there will be no controversy involving Bon Jovi with the release of this game.  Read about it at pastemagazine.com.  Bon Jovi will be included in the game along with Iggy Pop, Foo Fighters and Vampire Weekend.

Kurt Cobain sings Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name” on Guitar Hero 5.  Confused?  I am quite confused and also slightly concerned that the 'father of grunge' is singing Bon Jovi's tunes.  Read about it at Rollingstone.com.  Of course former members of Nirvana and Cobain's widow Courtney Love have spoke out over the issue.  However, Jon Bon Jovi spoke to the BBC about this issue he stated, "To hear someone else's voice coming out of a cartoon version of me? I don't know. It sounds a little forced."  (Click here to read the story)  Reports are circling the internet about Jon Bon Jovi declining the use of his image in the Guitar Hero 5 game.  How surprised would Bon Jovi fans be if they saw Jon Bon Jovi or any other members of Bon Jovi jamming to Nirvana's Nevermind?  I believe we would be just as outraged if that happened to Bon Jovi.

In other Bon Jovi news, Richie Sambbora states when he and Jon Bon Jovi were talking about the new album, The Circle, the feeling was that "rocking was the answer."  Read the interview at musicradar.com.  Cannot wait for the new album to hit stores soon!  

Bon Jovi has a promotion video for the Major League Baseball playoffs this fall on TBS.  To see the video click here.  The song is "We Weren't Born To Follow" the first single off Bon Jovi's new album.  The tune is catchy and the video promo is awesome.  I believe it captures the feeling of baseball and summer.

The lawsuit by a Boston Red Sox fan who claimed that Bon Jovi stole some lyrics for their hit song "I Love This Town" for $400 billion has finally seen its last at bat and has struck out.  Read about it here and at the Bostonherald.com.

Bon Jovi is joining the ranks of becoming a 'Green Band' with their recent announcement of eco-friendly t-shirts to be sold at their website.  Click here to read about it.  Bon Jovi hopes that these shirts will create some hype for their upcoming release of the bands eleventh studio album.  The coolest part of the t-shirts is one is made of organic cotton and the other is from recycled Mt. Dew bottles.  I can only hope that some of the Dew I have drunk and recycled has made it into a t-shirt.
